DATABASES

On this web page you will find databases that contain thousands of pieces of fact-checked information and primary source documents hitherto hidden from the public by government bureaucrats. The databases enable ordinary citizens to inform themselves quickly on a variety of topics, and to easily find information they rarely have access to. These databases contribute to transparent work of the government agencies and public bodies and corruption prevention.

CIN published its first database in 2009 after its reporters collected and analyzed data on payment of commission fees at 41 state agencies. Since then, CIN has published numerous databases on a variety of subjects including public procurement; subsidies; financing of veterans’ organizations; transitional allowances to privileged out-of-office bureaucrats and politicians; highest paid court-appointed defense attorneys and the country’s energy potential. Most databases contain records from the period in which they were collected, while others are regularly updated, such as the database on property assets of politicians, judges and prosecutors.
